Frequently Asked Questions

 

  • Yes we do! With your dog or dogs being around other dogs we have to require that they are up to date on Rabies, DHPP and Bordatella. All vaccines must be given at least 5 days prior to their visit with us. Flea and tick prevention is also required. We ask that you bring your records in or have your vet email us a copy to info@twopawsupkennels.com

  • At Two Paws Up Kennels and Grooming we do not take dog aggressive dogs. We only take dogs and families of dogs that get along well in a group play setting with multiple other dogs similar in size. Please reach out to your vet if your dog does not do well with other dogs for local boarding recommendations.

  • We do ask that all dogs over 1 year old are spayed or neutered! Since all our dogs go out in a group play setting we must require that they are fixed as to avoid any aggression, mounting or other issues between the dogs.

  • Monday through Friday we are open from 7am to 7pm. Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays we are open from 7-10am and then again between 4-7pm.

    For Daycare dogs we do ask that they are here by 9am for the first playtime!

    For Boarding dogs we try and schedule drop offs around the play times earlier in the day so they can get out and play with their friends and get some exercise before dinner and bedtime!

  • For Boarding dogs the day begins at 6:30 am, they are all let out to go potty and are fed right before 7 am.

    At 7 am the gate opens for Daycare and Boarding Dogs to start to be dropped off.

    9 am is the first play time for all dogs Boarding and here for Daycare! Each group is about for at least 30 minutes to go potty and then play with friends!

    Everyone goes back up to take a nap and then out again starting at 12 pm.

    The last big play time is at 4 pm for Daycare dogs and Boarding dogs. If your dog is being dropped off for Boarding they MUST be dropped off before 4 pm so they can go out and play with everyone before they are fed dinner and up until bedtime let out.

    Dinners are fed at 5 pm for the Boarding dogs staying with us. Some Daycare dogs will start to leave from their day of play.

    All dogs must be picked up by 7 pm from Boarding and Daycare.

  • Yes please! We know that boarding can be stressful on your pup. Bringing your normal food from home will make sure that’s one less new thing for them. If they are being picky with their own food while boarding, we can try and add some warm water or bone broth to try to entice them to start to eat.

  • Each dog has their own kennel that their personal belongings will be staying in. Out front of each kennel there is a tub to store food, treats, leash and any additional items the pet parent would to like to bring. We provide cots but you are more then welcome to bring a bed or blanket that they love along with toys to stay in their kennel. We will not put any Rope or Rawhide toys/treats in with your dog, so please do not bring those!

  • Yes we do! The dog play yard is about 6500 square feet of Pet Turf and Pea Gravel and shaded by trees. During the warm months there will be pools out for the pups to play in as well!

  • We know that your dog playing with others can cause some bumps and scratches. Two Paws Up Kennels and Grooming does have a pet first aid kit for minor cuts and scrapes. In the case of your dog being majorly hurt or becoming ill during their stay with us, we will try and call you or your emergency contact if you are not available. We can take them to their usual vet if it’s within a reasonable distance from our facility. If it’s a true emergency, we will take your dog to the nearest Emergency Vet.
